The global pandemic of COVID-19 has spread to 196 countries and in the world. There are at least 1.2 million deaths worldwide, and the cumulative confirmed cases exceed 50 million. At present, the epidemic situation in various countries is still on the rise. The cumulative number of confirmed cases in Taiwan reached more than 500 of Nov. 20 of 2020. The vital signs of patients in the isolation ward is measured at least 5 to 6 times a day. Nurse staff must wear heavy equipment including hoods, full face masks, N95 masks, protective clothing and two layers of gloves to enter the ward. There is a certain risk of infection •Isolation Ward Challenge How to "Take Care" COVID-19 patients -Nurse can't stay with patient anytime -Need to measure patient vital signs intensively -Blood pressure, heartbeat, body temperature, blood oxygen -Nurse spend 35~50 mins wear & take off protective equipment when entering and leaving the isolation ward -The contact time is longer, then raise up the infection risk of the nurse Use cloud, artificial intelligence and IoT technologies integrating Temperature/ Blood Oxygen/ Blood Pressure and heartbeat sensors and leverage their experience in “tele-cardiac care” applying into isolation ward to monitor patient vital signs, also combining nursing staff operation process into system to provide the overall vital signs monitoring solution for the isolation ward of the hospital。
